Police say 84-year-old Everett Armstrong from rural Geneva was found dead inside his mobile home on CR 300 West in Adams County on Aug. 19, 1977. Police say he was found with a gunshot wound by a fuel oil delivery driver, and his death was ruled a murder. ISP and the Adams County Sheriff's Department launched an investigation into Everett's death, a World War I veteran who was also a well-known local banjo player.
